Specialization as a coach

Training is just science! As long as you know the science behind the training, then you can adapt any training program to meet the needs of the athlete. I pride myself on meeting the athlete where they are at and designing an individualized training plan to take them from where they are to where they want to go! My coaching philosophy is based on the hash tag #ConsistenToGreat with the idea that consistent training over an extended period of time will result in improvement! It is not about 1 secret or magic workout - the secret is being able to train consistently over time. I am a big believer in aerobic fitness and developing an athlete's aerobic fitness is a cornerstone of my training.

Kennesaw State University - Bachelor's in Chemistry; Valdosta State University - Master's in Curriculum and Instruction; University of West Georgia - Specialist in Instructional Design and Technology

Running Story

I started running in high school as a stress reliever. I joined the cross country team my junior year of high school after a friend convinced me to join and the rest is history! I have a 1 year old daughter so I am not running as competitively anymore but I still get out the door 4-5 days a week and get some miles in! I began my coaching journey right out of college by helping my high school coach for a few years. I volunteer coached at Kennesaw State for 1 cross country season and then got my first high school head coaching job right out of college! Our girls team won the state championship back in 2019, which was the first team championship in school history! I have had the privilege of coaching athletes of all ages and abilities from high school to post collegiate to the adult athlete! I have worked with athletes who are brand new to running and those who have years of experience. Whatever your background, I would love to help you chase your goals!
